Objective:
Redesign the company's meeting room signage to align with its updated aesthetic and support a broader business transition.
Responsibilities:
Researched existing signage and design requirements
Created initial sketches and concept explorations
Developed digital mockups and final designs
Refined concepts based on feedback
Prepared production-ready artwork
Design Process:
Ideation:
I began the project by producing a series of thumbnail sketches to quickly explore visual directions. These sketches focused on layout and composition and overall style without refining details allowing for fast experimentation.
Initial Concepts:
From the sketches, I developed two distinct design directions. These concepts were translated into initial signage drafts, exploring different visual approaches to layout, typography and composition. The drafts were used during the first feedback meeting to evaluation direction and overall visual clarity.
Feedback (Round 1):
For this round of feedback, the supervisor preferred the hand drawn, line art because it stood out against the background me. Additionally the second design, was liked by everyone but did not stand out enough.
Refinement:
Based on feedback, I developed larger and more refined digital sketches to further explore the strongest direction. This stage focused on improving the hierarchy, and cohesion while narrowing the design into a unified approach.
Feedback (Round 2):
For this round of feedback, Supervisors reviewed the new sketches to validate the creative direction. Feedback emphasized simplification, and stronger readability. After this meeting, a new layout was suggested, and combining two concepts into one.
Final Design:
The complete signage system delivered a modern and cohesive visual update across all meeting room.
Results:
The finals designs were approved by company CEO and implemented following completion of my internship. The project successful contributed to the update visual identity and improve consistency across the workplace.
